Stationary distribution at DIKSHA School, Alfa-1, Gr.Noida

Parivartan working as per its mission, distributed stationery and eatables to the primary students of the Diksha school on 17th August, 2010. The school is situated in Alpha-1, Greater Noida. Our team of 12 members was given a warm welcome by the teachers and the students. The students were of the age group of 5-12 and had a strong desire to learn. They had a humble background and were from families with meager earnings. The school is run on aid given by different NGOs. The school lacks a proper infrastructure and the students do not have the resources to excel in the field of education. Parivartan provided stationeries (pencils, erasers, notebooks, scales and sharpeners) and to motivate them to study we distributed them biscuits and toffees.

We conducted many games and quizzes; and the kids actively participated. The session with the kids was an enriching experience for us and we were touched by their desire to study in-spite of their situation. The kids were bright and intelligent for their age and were eager to gain knowledge.

These kids and many more like them, not only need materialistic support but also emotional back up. We need to give them the love and respect that they deserve. Every kid needs to be given equal opportunities and a chance to make the best out of their lives and climb up the social ladder.
